 TERPEN™ STAFF

The laboratory is the heart of any company making products, but the ideas often come from educational research that leads to the development of new products.

Senior research scientists direct the research and decide which projects the lab will work on; and supervise other research associates who will collaborate to conduct research, conduct experiments, make observations, analyze results, reach conclusions, and write reports on experiments.

Technicians, care for lab projects, make observations, analyze results, draw conclusions, write reports, order and maintain lab supplies or equipment.

TERPEN™ R&D

Phytochemicals ("phyto" means "plant" in Greek) are a wide variety of nonnutritive chemical compounds produced by plants through primary or secondary metabolism; which may have different proposed effects and benefits for the body - by providing nourishing vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Phytochemicals generally have biological activity in the plant host and play a role in plant growth or defense against competitors, pathogens, or predators. They are found in fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and other plants. The three major category examples of well-known phytochemicals (besides curcumin and isoflavones) are:

  • Polyphenols – subcategorised as the flavonoids, phenolic acids and other non-flavonoid polyphenols.
  • Terpenoids – subcategorised as the carotenoids and non-carotenoid terpenoids.
  • Thiols – includes the glucosinolates, isothiocyanates, allylic sulfides and non-sulfur containing indoles.

Terpen™ scientific research in natural phyto extracts, led us to develop products using nano-enhanced technology for maximum bioavailability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.

  • Terpen™ is all natural and made with beneficial phytonutrients, and sometimes vitamins and aminos.

  • Terpen™ uses high quality ingredients to make higher quality products — at affordable prices with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

  • We support consumer transparency & truthfulness with 3rd party lab reports to verify plant genomics, potency, microbials, chemicals and residual solvents.

Our proven technology, bioavailability, and stability are enormously important to its effectiveness, which is our significant competitive advantage.

TERPEN™ OILS & AROMAS

In 2017, Terpen™ began with R&D in natural & essential oils, vaporizers and devices for use in respiratory therapy, inhalation therapy, topical anesthesia and aromatherapy. We focus on the main organic compounds (ingredient) that give essential oils their aromas, flavors, and arguably medicinal benefits.

Terpen's portable personal essential oil diffuser uses vaporizer technology to deliver aromatic all-natural plant oil blends in classic aromatherapy combinations, to pass through your olfactory system. Terpen™ aromas carry scent info to the olfactory system that are responsible for perception, learning, and emotion. Aromatherapy uses plant oils, including essential oils for improving psychological or physical well-being. Its offered as a natural therapy or as a form of alternative medicine.

Terpen™ can formulate the flavor, effect, and viscosity of 150+ food-grade highly-concentrated oils used in many consumer products. We offer the highest quality, responsibly sourced, natural carrier oils for soap-making, aromatherapy, massage therapy, skincare manufacturing, and more. From aromatherapy, herb mixes, to essential oils, aromatic oils, fragrance oils, oils for drink mixes and flavorings. Other products include gels, creams, ointments, lotions, soaps, shampoos, cosmetics, beverages, sports supplements and nutraceuticals.

In the aromatherapy industry, fragrances are distinguished by their ratio of fragrance oils to the alcohol "carrier".

  • A perfume is 30%
  • Eau de parfum is 15%
  • Eau de toilette is 8%
  • Cologne is 5%
  • Room spray may be 3%
  • Beverage flavorings 1%

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

We develop intellectual property opportunities through R&D. We streamline and structure production, product development, and info systems needed to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and increase cash flow. From experimental labs, SOP's, software validation, to security and equipment sourcing. We can deliver data science, consumer research, and business intelligence.

We protect our intellectual property investments in a variety of ways. We work actively in the U.S. and internationally to ensure the enforcement of copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other protections that apply to our products, services, business plans, and branding. While we employ much of our internally developed intellectual property exclusively in Terpen products and services, we also engage in outbound and inbound licensing of specific technologies that are incorporated into licensees' or Terpen's products.

From time to time, we enter into broader cross-license agreements with other companies covering entire groups of patents. We also license technology that we incorporate into our products or services.

At times, we make select intellectual property broadly available at no or low cost to achieve a strategic objective, such as promoting industry standards, advancing interoperability, or attracting and enabling our external development community.

We develop brands and intellectual property rights from natural product extracts; define scientifically sound development protocols, manage product development and then seek exit options for these developed medicines. We can supply nutraceutical and phytoceutical raw ingredients to pharmaceutical companies in the process of research, clinical trials, and/or product roll-out.
